The last two-year-old pacing filly Atlantic Sires Stakes leg of 2020 is set to take place at Northside Downs this Saturday (Sept. 19).
A total of 12 fillies have been split into a pair of $9,620 divisions that have been carded as Race 2 and 6.
Race 2 will see JJ Talisa (to be driven by Redmond Doucet) start from Post 2. JJ Talisa currently sits atop of the leaderboard with 19 points. Little Miss Ava (Myles Heffernan Sr) and Somebodys Me (Mark Pezzarello) round out the top three picks. Race 6 will see early favourite Tobins Brownie (David Dowling) start from Post 6. Tobins Brownie currently sits fourth on the points leaderboard. The Real McCoy (Marc Campbell) and Elm Grove Penny (driver TBA) are the other top picks.
Saturday's leg is the fillies' last opportunity to earn ATSS points towards the Atlantic Breeders Crown Weekend. Points earned in each Atlantic Sires 'A' division pacing event go towards earning a spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships, which will take place on October 10 and 11, 2020 at Red Shores Charlottetown.
First-race post time at Northside Downs is at 1 p.m.
