The fields for Saturday's Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Championships at Mohawk Racetrack are set with eight $50,000 finals to be contested.

The Grassroots finals will share the spotlight with the $284,000 Milton Final for pacing fillies and mares.

Race 2 - Two-Year-Old Trotting Colts & Geldings
Pasadena Star was nearly perfect, going four-for-five in the Grassroots for two-year-old colt trotters. The Kadabra-Pasadena Princess homebred leaves from Post 2 for driver Randy Waples and trainer Bob McIntosh. McIntosh co-owns the colt along with C S X Stables of Liberty Center, Oh.

Race 3 - Three-Year-Old Trotting Fillies
Three-year-old trotting filly Moms Apple Pie was never worse than second in five Grassroots starts, winning three and finishing second twice. The daughter of Striking Sahbra-Moms Sweetie Pie is owned by William Dixon of Caledon, Ont. and looks to finish her OSS career with a win for trainer Bill Budd and driver Chris Christoforou.

Race 4 - Two-Year-Old Pacing Colts & Geldings
Divisional leader Cheeky Fool will look to rebound off his worst OSS outing to date - a seventh-place finish after winning four of his first five Grassroots starts. Team Jamieson -- driver Jody and trainer Carl -- have drawn Post 6 with the gelded son of Western Maverick-Kristens Sparkle for owner Joshua Wade Jamieson of Hagersville, Ont.

Race 5 - Two-Year-Old Trotting Fillies
Chelseas Chance has only lost once in her five Grassroots starts, and that loss came at Mohawk in late July to divisional rival Diamonds For Life. Those two fillies line up side-by-side again on Saturday. Diamonds For Life (Angus Hall-Jayportcashforlife) has Post 7 for trainer Mark Steacy, driver Trevor Ritchie and owners Frank Spagnolo & Frank Schimizzi of Ottawa, Ont., while Chelseas Chance (Kadabra-Armbro Chelsea) will line up in Post 8 for driver Randy Waples, trainer-owner Bob McIntosh and co-owner C S X Stables of Liberty Center, Oh.

Race 6 - Three-Year-Old Pacing Fillies
If Mattys Big Day (Jeremes Jet-Mattll Be The Day) wishes to continue her dominance over the sophomore pacing filly division, she'll have to overcome Post 9 for trainer Corey Johnson, driver Randy Waples and owners Debbie Element & Ecurie Jgv Enrg of Laval, Que. In six Grassroots starts, she's won four and finished second twice.

Race 8 - Two-Year-Old Pacing Fillies
The darling of the freshman fillies, Momara is five-for-six in Grassroots action and comes into the Final fresh off a six-length win at Grand River and she's unbeaten in her last five OSS starts. Team McNair -- trainer-owner Gregg and driver Doug -- will shoot for six straight wins from Post 7 for co-owners Leonard Gamble of Etobicoke, Don MacDonald and David Kryway of Amherstburg, Ont.

Race 9 - Three-Year-Old Trotting Colts & Geldings
Super Duke has been the most consistent performer in the Grassroots division, never finishing worse than third in six starts. The gelded son of Duke Of York-Millie Wonka comes into Saturday's Final off a lifetime best 1:57.3 at Rideau Carleton. Jody Jamieson will drive Super Duke from Post 6 for trainer-owner Bill James, who co-owns with Paul & Carol Secord of Bowmanville, Ont.

Race 10 - Three-Year-Old Pacing Colts & Geldings
Dull Roar divided his time finishing first or second in the Grassroots program, notching three of each for trainer-owner Jeff Gillis and co-owners Ken Henwood of Vaughan, Ont., Mac Nichol of Burlington, Ont. and Gerald Stay of Buffalo, N.Y. Jack Moiseyev picks up the drive on the son of Mach Three-Village Jest, the fastest colt in the field by virtue of his 1:51 speed badge, and will leave from Post 6.
