Opening day for the Century Mile meet has been pushed back and will begin with harness racing on Friday, Sept. 25 with post time set for 6:35 p.m. (MDT).
According to Horse Racing Alberta, the Wednesday, Sept. 23 race date originally scheduled to launch the Century Mile meet has been cancelled. A makeup race date has been added to the schedule for Saturday, Dec. 26.
Track officials have stated that the schedule change has been made to allow extra time for the racing surface switch between the breeds.
