A total of seven three-year-old pacing fillies were entered this morning for the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold eliminations scheduled to be contested Monday, September 20
at Grand River Raceway.
The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elim than can compete in the final, the elim will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.
Therefore, the Gold elim for three-year-old pacing fillies scheduled for September 20 at Grand River Raceway is cancelled. The $40,000 purse for the Gold elim will be added to the regular purse for the final, thus the total purse for the Gold final will be $170,000.
The Gold final will be held on Monday, September 27 as scheduled, and the post positions will be drawn on Monday, September 20, when the final would normally have been drawn.
According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elim will be distributed equally between the seven horses which were entered to the event.
