The entry box for the 73rd Little Brown Jug will remain open until Monday (September 17) at 10:00 a.m.
The condition sheet on the USTA website listed the Little Brown Jug, with the other races scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, September 20, as having a “three-day box.”
“We have a unique situation where our largest stakes events, the Little Brown Jug and Jugette, have a five-day-box and the remaining events with a three-day box,” noted Tom Wright, Director of Racing. “We want to make 100 percent sure everyone had access to the same information before they entered their horse. We are sorry for the delay, but we felt this decision was in the best interest of the horsemen.”
The retention barn rules will not be impacted. The Jug horses will be required to be on the grounds Tuesday, September 18 by 12:00 noon.
Questions and concerns should be directed to the Log Cabin by calling (740) 363-6000.
