Mandatory Payout For Meadows Hi-5

With its Super Hi-5 carryover at $79,313.23, The Meadows has announced a mandatory jackpot payout for the Friday, Sept. 17 Super Hi-5.

The Super Hi-5 jackpot usually is paid only if there is a unique correct ticket. However, with the mandatory payout, all holders of correct tickets will share the jackpot, which is expected to reach $250,000 or more. The pool will be frozen until Friday to assure a rich return. Minimum wager for the Super Hi-5, set for Friday’s final race, is 20 cents.

The September 17 card kicks off a series of 11 Friday programs with the special post time of 4 p.m.

The huge Super Hi-5 pool won’t be the only excitement this week at The Meadows, as the Tuesday program launches four consecutive days of Keystone Classic Stakes. Tuesday’s card showcases a pair of Jim King Jr. trainees, both in the $66,900 event for freshman filly pacers.

Captain Cowgirl (Captaintreacherous-Rideintothesunset), who lifted her bankroll to $228,369 with her victory in the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes championship at The Meadows, leaves from post six in race three. Tim Tetrick will drive for his co-owners, Jo Ann Looney-King and Kenneth Frieder.

The champ’s stablemate, Lyons Serenity, has won five of six lifetime, including a triumph in the final of the PA Stallion Series. Tetrick will guide the daughter of Sweet Lou-Southwind Serenity from post two in race one for Threelyonsracing.

First post Tuesday is 12:45 p.m.
