The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey has released information in regard to the organization’s upcoming 2019 Board of Directors election.

Any member interested in running for a seat on the SBOANJ board may do so in one of the following three categories: breeder, owner, or trainer/driver. All candidates must notify the SBOANJ office in writing by September 27 of their intent to run and in which category they are running.

Visit the By-Laws page at sboanj.com for the detailed qualifications. All members will receive voting instructions, ballots and candidate biographies via mail in October.

The following incumbents have chosen to run for re-election: Mike Klau and Mark Mullen in the breeder category, Anthony Perretti and Anthony Romano in the owner category, and Yannick Gingras in the trainer/driver category.

Election results will be announced at the annual board meeting, which will be held on November 15 at Freehold Raceway. The meeting is currently scheduled to begin after the last race of the day.
