Woodbine Mohawk Park announced on Tuesday it will host a special race for women drivers during next Monday’s (Aug. 15) card of live racing.
The race will mark the second time this season Woodbine has hosted a race featuring an entire field of women drivers. The first race on March 7 was won by defending Ontario Women's Driving Championship winner Natasha Day.
The following drivers will participate in Monday’s race:
- Jesse Turenne
- Samara Johnson
- Britt Kennedy
- Debi O’Brien-Moran
- Maggie Jones
- Natasha Day
- Julie Walker
- Marie-Claude Auger
- Anita Ouellette
- Kayla Chappell
- Marielle Enberg (Also Eligible #1)
- Pam Forgie (Also Eligible #2)
The draw for Monday’s card will take place this Thursday. The women’s driving race will also feature an enhanced purse.
Post time for next Monday’s card is 7 p.m.
