This year marks the sixth year in which the Hambletonian Society is accepting supplemental yearling nominations for the races it services that require a yearling nominating payment to be made.
This supplemental yearling nomination payment is for those nominators who have missed the regular May 15 payment deadline but are still interested in staking their horses. The amount due for these supplemental payments is five times the May 15 payment for the race in question. For example, the May 15 yearling payment for the Adios is $10 USD. The supplemental yearling payment would be five times that amount, or $50 USD, and would be due postmarked to the Hambletonian Society office by Friday, Aug. 16 per United States Trotting Association rules.
The supplemental yearling nomination forms can be found on the Hambletonian Society website or by calling the office and having the form mailed, faxed or e-mailed to you.
The supplemental payment or the "catch up" nomination fee of $10,000 USD for the Dayton Derby in 2024 is also due Aug. 15.
