Harness racing at The Red Mile was halted on Tuesday, Aug. 5 after the second race due to weather.
Push Up and driver Andy McCarthy won the lone Kentucky stakes event contested, a $20,833 second-leg division of the Golden Rod Series for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings. Trained by Tahnee Camilleri, the Tall Dark Stranger-Wrangler Magic gelding stepped up from a Wildcat win to score in a new mark of 1:53.1 for owners Kap Singh Racing Stable of Yorktown Heights, New York and Stephen Klunowski of North York, Ont.
The seven remaining stakes races on the card will go at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6 with no wagering.
All overnights will be paid out equally.
