On August 20, the night of the $2.5 million Super Stakes Saturday at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, there are also three $50,000 Invitationals being planned: an open pace, an open trot, and a filly and mare pace.
Any owner or trainer who would like to race their horse(s) in any of these $50,000 Invitationals on August 20 should contact The Downs’s Director of Racing, Rick Kane, at 570-831-2126 as soon as possible.
These Invitationals will be held in addition to the Battle of the Brandywine for three-year-old pacing colts, the Colonial for three-year-old trotting colts, and the Valley Forge for three-year-old pacing fillies — each having its “main event” plus two consolations depending on the amount of money won by the entrants.
