Four-time Quebec Champion, Atomic Million AM, returns to Hippodrome 3R on Sunday (Sept. 1) to headline the ninth race Preferred-Handicap Pace.
After spending the last month at Rideau Carleton, Atomic Million AM returns off an impressive wire-to-wire score at Rideau in 1:53.3, his fastest winning time this year.
Bred, owned and trained by Alain Martin of Gatineau, Atomic Million AM sports six wins in 11 starts this year. The eight-year-old gelded son of Million Dollar Cam starts from post seven for driver Jonathan Lachance.
Atomic Million AM is tied with Esprit Dequipe as the winningest horses at 3R this season, each with five wins. It will not be a walk in the park for Atomic Million AM to add to his win total. Also in the field are three return winners, Ufdragons Rocket (post four), Kinnder Jackson (post five) and D J Power (post two).
Ufdragons Rocket is on a two-race winning streak, scoring last week at Rideau in 1:55.2. Kinnder Jackson was at his best last week with a 1:54.1 win at 3R and D J Power is moving up in class after a 1:55.3 triumph in the Preferred 3 class.
Also, one to always be aware of in the field is Hooter Shooter in post six for 3R’s leading driver, Stephane Gendron. He was second to Kinnder Jackson last week and prior to that has won this class in 1:54.3. Rounding out the field are Appleby Hanover (post one) and Outlaw Turn N Burn (post three).
