With a trio of $40,056 New York Sire Stakes divisions, a pair of Opens and a top driving duo making an appearance, Batavia Downs' Wednesday, August 31 program of racing will be anything but average

.

The NYSS for two-year-old colt and gelding pacers will kick off in Race 4. The Bettors Delight--Beach Bound colt Twin B Hollister will ship-in to contest the opening division.

The colt won a $63,665 NYSS at Yonkers Raceway in his last start, where he lowered his career mark to 1:56.4. Twin B Hollister is trained George Teague, Jr., who also owns the colt along with Ted Gewertz and Fannin Racing. Jim Morrill, Jr. is scheduled to perform the driving duties.

The morning-line favourite for the dash is Ken Jacobs’ Raymond J, who has been pegged as the 5-2 early choice. The Linda Toscano trainee will get the services of Jason Bartlett, currently second in the Yonkers Raceway driver standings behind George Brennan.

The Wednesday program will also include the weekly $7,000 Open trot and the $9,000 Open pace for distaffers.
