Trot Insider has received details regarding an upcoming celebration of life for Pat Wilkinson, who passed away on March 23, 2020 at the age of 76 after a fight with cancer.

Patsy Ann 'Pat' was born in England to Ida (Drane) and Willis Hall and came as a baby to the town of Wingham, Ontario, where she grew up with her siblings, Barb, Brenda and Joe, who will miss her dearly.

Pat was a devoted wife of 53 years to David Wilkinson, longtime horseman from Goderich, mother to Matt (Sue) and Pam Forgie (Mike), and grandmother to Jamie, Jenna and Tristen. Pat was very proud of them and enjoyed watching them succeed in all their adventures. Pat will also be missed by her many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their families.

Pat worked at Champion Motor Graders/Volvo for almost 30 years in the purchasing department, was active in many organizations in her community, including St Georges Anglican Church, Goderich Lioness Club, and more recently the Goderich Legion.

Pat was a very kind soul who touched many people's lives and always had a way of making new friends wherever she went. She was much loved for her sense of humour, loyal friendship, and positive energy. She and her delicious 'Patsy Pies' will be missed greatly.

A celebration of life will take place this coming Sunday (August 30) at the home of Dave Wilkinson, 110 Brock St. Goderich, Ont. from 1-5 p.m.

The family's hope is that they have allowed enough time for everyone to have a chance to give their condolences to the family and to share memories and good times while respecting the social distancing and safety protocols put into place to keep everyone safe. Afterwards, the family will take her ashes to her requested final resting place.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Pat Wilkinson.
