There are four return winners ready to do battle in the ninth race feature pace at Hippodrome 3R on Tuesday evening.
First-race post time is 7 p.m.
While two of the four horses are coming in off of qualifying race victories, the fourth return winner in the field is not, and in fact he is the fastest return winner in the race. That honour goes to Windham Hanover, who will start from Post 7.
The 10-year-old gelded son of Mach Three is trained and driven by Norman Beaudoin. Last week at Hippodrome 3R the pair teamed up to post a very impressive two-length, wire-to-wire victory in 1:55.2 in this same class.
Last week was the Windham Hanover’s second win on the season, yet the impressive mile was not good enough for the morning line oddsmaker at Hippodrome 3R, as the gelding has been tabbed as the 4-1 fourth choice in the race.
The 5-2 morning line favourite is Walks Of Life. The four-year-old grey gelded son of Western Hall is coming into the race off of a 1:58.2 win at Hippodrome 3R last week. He will be making his third start of the year for trainer Daniel Martin on Tuesday.
Walks Of Life will start from Post 3 for driver Stephane Brosseau.
Other contenders in the field include Hockey Bum (Post 2), who just won his qualifying race at Hippodrome 3R in 1:59.4, along with Dagon A Little (Post 5) and Who Dey, a returnee from Rideau Carlton.
Who Dey, who will start from Post 6 and will be driven by Jocelyn Gendron, has been very sharp in his last two starts, where he has finished second and third, but has been race-timed in 1:55.4 and 1:54.2.
Completing the field are Pan Larcey (Post 1), Montezuma Bluechip (Post 4), OK Ebury (Post 8) and Beach Runner A M (Post 9).
