For those that prefer not to wait for mail delivery, the entire catalogue for the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale is now available on the sales company's website
.
This year's sale is scheduled for October 3-7 at Lexington's Fasig-Tipton Pavilion, and, as always, will be held in conjunction with the Grand Circuit meet at the Red Mile.
PDF files of yearling catalogue pages may be downloaded from the website by individual horse or by sale session. There are also indices by sire, by dam, and by consignor.
Website visitors will notice that for the first time this year, both the hip number index and consignor index will have links to yearling videos that are provided by consignors.
"This sale has really become the go-to marketplace for champions," said sale co-manager Geoffrey Stein, "and when buyers see this year's catalogue, they'll know that more are on the way.
"We sold last year's (U.S.) 'Horse of the Year' Rock N Roll Heaven, and already this year there have been a long list of major stakes winners that have come from Lexington, like Roll With Joe, Up The Credit, Manofmanymissions and last weekend's Wilson winner Major Bombay."
Stein added that he expected buyers to have a lot of interest in this year's first-crop sires, perhaps one of the best groups ever, led by Somebeachsomewhere, Deweycheatumnhowe, Crazed, Always A Virgin, and Muscle Mass, in addition to the first U.S. crop of Christian Cullen.
Print catalogues will be mailed the week of August 29.
