On Saturday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m., the official opening of the West Prince Horsemen's Hall of Fame will take place at the Alberton Exhibition Grounds.
Full of pictures, memorabilia and ongoing race tapes, the museum honours and is a remembrance for the many horsemen and their families who had their start in the West Prince area, including, of course, Joe O'Brien.
You are invited to participate in this tribute to the past and present ambassadors of the harness racing sport, some of whom have made the ability of Island horsemen famous throughout North America and beyond.
The grand opening ceremony is at 1:00 p.m.; harness racing will take place at 2:00 p.m., with prizes for the race winners.
