David L. Cook Passes

Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission official David L. Cook of Marshfield, P.E.I. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at The Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Sunday, July 31

at the age of 51.

Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Wood). Dear father of April and Amy. Son of Edwin and Hazel Cook. Brother of Murray (Vicki), Gayelene (Reg) Angus, Derek (Beverley) and Jeff (Pam). Son-in-law of Wallace and Doris Wood and brother-in-law of Marilyn (Leo) MacDonald, Gordon, Carol (Laurier) Fecteau, Janice, and Bruce (Katherine) Wood. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from Park Royal United Church at 11 a.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Palliative Care Unit of The Prince Edward Home would be appreciated. Cookie was always well-respected at his job and always had a cheerful demeanor. I hadn't seen him in years but always considered him a friend and an asset at the Cdp. My condolences to his family and friends.
