Several upsets on the stakes card last Sunday (August 14) at The Red Mile left no winning Pick 5 tickets, resulting in a $2,861 carryover into Thursday night’s (August 18) second race.
The Pick 5 is a nightly wager covering races two through six, featuring a 50-cent minimum and a reduced takeout of only 15 percent.
The Pick 4 continues to offer a $5,000 guaranteed pool every Thursday and Sunday night, and begins nightly with race seven.
This Sunday night (August 21) will feature eight stakes finals, with over $1.4 million in total purses. The Pick 4 guarantee will be increased to $10,000 for the Kentucky ‘Night of Champions.’
Live racing continues at The Red Mile three nights per week, with a first post of 7 p.m. every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evening.
