'Jade' Looks To Sweep Erwin Andrew

Warrawee Jade has been installed as the 5-2 morning-line choice for the $10,000 final of the Erwin Andrew Memorial Mares Trot, which has been carded as Race 5 on the Charlottetown Driving Park's 15-dash evening program of racing this Saturday (August 18).

The evening card is scheduled to get underway at 6:45 p.m.

Warrawee Jade (PP3, B. Andrew, 5-2) enters the contest looking for a sweep of the three-leg series.

On August 2, the seven-year-old daughter of Angus Hall excelled from a Post-8 start to go on and record a three-quarters-of-one-length victory in 2:02.1. Nine days later at the CDP on August 11, 'Jade' was all business once again, as she hustled out from the rail spot, did all the work on the front end and gathered the spoils, recording a quarter-length victory in 2:01.1.

Warrawee Jade, who is trained by Blake Andrew, has recorded four wins and nine on-the-board finishes from her 15 seasonal starts.

Anita Blossom (PP4, Bro. MacPhee) has been pegged as the 3-1 second morning-line choice, while Napanee Seelster (PP1, D. MacDonald) has been selected as the 4-1 third early choice.
