If you have a horse that wouldn’t mind going a training trip to show off for the kids, we need you! Adrenaline organizers are calling for a few horse owners or trainers and a few horses to be a part of Family Day on Sunday, August 23 at Sarnia's Hiawatha Horse
Park.
The horses will be needed between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and will help educate kids on harness racing. The horses will spend a couple of hours in the paddock for 'Hands of Horses,' followed by two five-eighths-mile jogs around the track accompanied by another horse.
The idea is to get kids to learn about standardbred horses and enjoy the thrill of the race as they enjoy Family Day at Hiawatha.
You will receive a gift or small honorarium in appreciation for your assistance. Most importantly you’ll be exposing young people to the joy of caring for standardbreds.
If you can help out, or for more info, please contact Kathy Wade Vlaar at Standardbred Canada by phone at 905-858-3060 or by email at [email protected].
