Standardbred Canada is pleased to announce that Linda Bedard has been promoted to the role of Registrar, and Valerie Boom will become the Manager of Customer Services.
Linda started her career at SC in the Member Services department in May 2001. She has been the Assistant Registrar since April 2009.
"I am very confident that Linda will perform admirably in her new role," said John Gallinger, President and CEO of Standardbred Canada. "She has demonstrated technical expertise, and has good judgment and quiet confidence. I know she looks forward to the challenge and I look forward to working with her in a new capacity."
Valerie Boom started her career at SC in the Field Services department in May 1985. She was promoted to the Manager of Field Services in February 2001. In February of 2012, she became co-manager of the Customer Services department along with recently retired Pat Kennedy.
"The Customer Services department was created by combining the former Field Services and Member Services groups into a single department. We have found that there were many internal processes that crossed department lines, and by formally combining the two departments it is leading to synergies and process improvements," said Gallinger.
