Four talented and dedicated students have been selected to represent their Harness Horse Youth Foundation camps in this year’s driving demonstration at the Meadowlands Racetrack on Hambletonian Day, Saturday, August 5.
They are Lily Kairewich of Chittenango, NY; Sundene Lodge of Milton, DE; Danny Eick of Howell, NJ; and Connor Lutz of Etters, PA. The non-wagering event is a one-half mile dash, the standard Trottingbred distance, from behind the mobile starting gate, and is set for post just prior to the 12:00 noon Hambletonian wagering card.
The field for Saturday’s event appears below.
PP1 – Pokies Topshot – driven by Lily Kairewich, age 12, representing Vernon Downs. Assistant Driver: David Miller

According to HHYF Executive Director Ellen Taylor, the participants selected for the event showed exemplary horsemanship at their camps and are ideal candidates to represent the organization. Taylor and the HHYF also wish to thank Miller, Zeron, Miller and Tetrick, as well as Meadowlands management for their continued support of the organization.
