Beginning on Tuesday, July 15, an earlier post time will go into effect for Harrah’s Hoosier Park, with the new daily post time of 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for the remainder of season.
“We’re looking forward to being the first major harness track on the market each night we race,” said Gabe Prewitt, Vice President and General Manager of Racing at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. “We feel it’s been a disservice to both our horsemen and our bettors to be racing to almost midnight each night we race thus far. We think moving post time up will still allow us to properly schedule our races throughout the night while also allowing us to get done earlier in the evenings.”
Hoosier Park will race on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule through Oct. 29 before the race weeks get shorter approaching the closing night of the 2025 meet on Nov. 29.
Still on tap for the 2025 season at Hoosier Park is the 32nd edition of the Dan Patch Stakes presented by the Indiana Standardbred Breed Development just one month away on Aug. 8, in addition to the Grade 1 Peter Haughton and Jim Doherty Memorials on Sept. 12, Caesars Trotting Classic presented by Kountry Lane Standardbreds on Sept. 19 and Hoosier Champions night on Oct. 10.
