Richard Campbell Passes

Richard Harold Campbell, of Charlottetown, P.E.I., passed away peacefully at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday (July 6). He was 66.

Richard was born in Woodstock, N.B., and moved to Prince Edward Island at the age of three. He was a graduate of UPEI and UNB, and practiced law in the family business, Campbell, Stewart.

Richard will be sadly missed and forever loved by his wife, Jacinta (MacDonald) Campbell; son and best friend, Brent; daughter-in-law, Ambyr (MacPhee) Campbell; and precious twin granddaughters, Brielle and Mylah Campbell.

Richard is also survived by a brother, Scott (Beverly); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken Kerr, Reg and Liz MacDonald, and Donald and Patrice MacDonald; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Also left to mourn his passing are his hunting and fishing buddies in P/E.I. and the Miramichi, as well as the harness racing community.

Richard was the beloved son of the late Laurence and Millicent Campbell, son-in-law of the late John D. and Marie Mac Donald, and brother-in-law of the late Joan (MacDonald) Kerr.

Resting will take place at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. Due to current restrictions, a funeral service (by invitation only) will be held and will be available for viewing via live stream on Monday, July 12 at 1 p.m. AST.

Interment will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Mount Stewart.
