Horse Racing New Brunswick will showcase a total of eight races on Saturday afternoon at Exhibition Park Raceway with first post at 2 p.m.
Saturday's feature will be contested as race seven on the program and has attracted a solid field of six pacers.
American Captain, from the high producing Mike Campbell stable has drawn the favourable post-one. He is coming off a win on Canada Day in 1:58.2 for owner Ronald Roy of Fredericton.
Starting from post two, Sparky Bayama has been listed by the odds maker as the longest shot in the race listed at 8-1 odds. Ramblinglily will be looking for her first win of the season as she leaves from post three for Allan Jones.
J Rs Hurricane will score from the four slot for owner Jean Belliveau of Moncton. Dance Hanover, just shy of the $100,000 mark in career earnings will leave post five for the Ultimate Stable.
Rounding out the field is Stare Down from the potent Mike Downey stable. He will have the outside post six to contend with but his early speed should help the pacer.
The latest leg of the year-long handicapping challenge will also be featured on Saturday.
