Siblings Imtoobadtobecute and Imacutiepatootie will be back at Kawartha Downs this Saturday night (July 8) and will be competing in Races 1 and 3, respectively.
Imtoobadtobecute will be looking for his second victory at his hometown track, as he won on June 17 for driver Mike Wade whose partner, Annemarie Colville, bred, trains and co-owns the four-year-old Badlands Hanover son with R A W Equine and Mark Lee. He’ll start from Post 4 during the first race of the card.
His older sister, Imacutiepatootie, has Post 3 in the third test of the evening. Wade will pilot the five-year-old daughter of Tell All that he co-owns with Colville and Jennifer Giles. She’ll be looking for her first win of the campaign after having finished second on Canada Day.
The pair are from Annemarie’s broodmare Puttingontheglitz whose previous foals include Nora Lee ($336,021); Alfredsson ($329,000) and Franceschetti ($265,000).
One to watch in the fourth race is Avenue Road Katie, who will be making her first lifetime start for owner/breeder John Fielding of Toronto, one of the sport’s leading owners. The two-year-old daughter of Art Official is trained by Murray Brethour, who is considered one of this country's top conditioners of young Standardbreds.
‘Katie’ is a half-sister to Dalhousie Dave, a former star on the Ontario Sires Stakes circuit who is still going strong at age 10, having won two weeks ago at Scioto Downs. He currently has earned $739,000 in his career.
Kawartha’s Saturday night program will get underway at 7 p.m. with lots of opportunities to win on track and off for fans of all ages. The evening’s program is available here.
