Dresden Raceway will cap off another successful season this holiday Monday (August 3) with a huge afternoon of festivities and great racing planned.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is stepping up to help out in a big way. The OLG will be sponsoring the annual Free Corn On The Cob Giveaway and will also be donating a beautiful new barbecue that will be awarded to a lucky patron during the afternoon. The track’s regular sponsor, The Brick, will also be involved offering fantastic prizes to be won.
There will also be t-shirt giveaways and draws for lots of other wonderful prizes throughout the day. The event will also act as the finale for the annual Dresden Fair which is also going on during the weekend.
A strong 12-race card has been assembled for Monday. The program will be highlighted by the Preferred 3 Pace (Race 12). The photogenic Sandburg Hanover will look to make it back-to-back wins after having scored over the Dresden oval last weekend.
Track officials are hopeful of topping last year’s Closing Day handle of $36,000.
