On Thursday (August 1), Vernon Downs will be featuring a pair of New York Sire Stakes divisions for juvenile trotting fillies.
The unbeaten Love A Good Story (to be driven by Andy Miller) has been installed as the 9-5 morning line favourite in the $53,000 first division. The filly by Chapter Seven-Celebrity Lovin is trained by Julie Miller for owners Pinske Stables, Kentuckiana Racing Stable, and Daniel Plouffe. She has recorded NYSS wins at Buffalo Raceway, Tioga Downs, Yonkers Raceway and Batavia Downs and has yet to taste defeat after four starts.
The second choice in the first divisions, at morning line odds of 2-1, is the Rick Zeron-trained Illdoitmyself (Scott Zeron). The filly by Chapter Seven-Domello is still searching for her first win, after having recorded three seconds through four career starts. She is owned by Rick Zeron Stables, James Walker, and Van Camp Trotting Corp.
Munster (Kasper Foget) is the 9-5 morning line choice in the $52,000 second division. The filly by Chapter Seven-Richesse Oblige S is trained by Per Engblom for owners Black Horse Racing, and Wiesman Farms LLC. She has recorded a win and two seconds from three career starts thus far. Her lone victory came in a leg of the NYSS at Yonkers.
Seventimesalady (Ake Svanstedt) is the second morning line choice in the second division, at odds of 2-1. The Chapter Seven-Ava Marion filly is coming off of a NYSS win at Batavia. Seventimesalady is owned by trainer Svanstedt along with Little E LLC and Knutsson Trotting Inc. Seventimesalady has tasted victory after one of her three lifetime starts.
