Sunday, August 1 is just a few short days away, and that is when the magic of the Standardbred Showcase will be getting underway at Grand River Raceway
.
The show, which will be getting underway at 9:00 a.m., will feature registered standardbreds that will 'wow' you with their skill as pleasure horses in a show setting.
A full set of 21 classes will be offered from dressage, jumping, games, pleasure classes both English and Western, pleasure driving and a costume class.
The show is pleased to announce that Admirals Express will be attending and completing alongside many other horses. Those horses may not have been able to touch him on the track, but can they beat him in the show ring?
'The Admiral' is looking forward to greeting his fans. His current handler will be donating his shoes from the day to raise proceeds for the Standardbred Showcase.
There is no charge for spectators to watch or to park.
All entries with horses must have liability insurance to show.
This show is the second show in the Ontario Standardbred Show Series. The series is supported by many industry players, most notably Grand River Raceway on its busiest weekend -- Industry Day Weekend.
