After a hard-fought victory last weekend, four-year-old Pickpocketprincess will look to dominate her male rivals again this Saturday afternoon (July 25) at Exhibition Park Raceway.
Pickpocketprincess was hampered with the outside post position last Saturday and battled Fatheroftheyear in a thrilling stretch duel to score the victory. She will have a better starting spot this week, as the daughter of Varadero Hanover will score from Post 2.
So far this season, Pickpocketprincess has notched three wins from six starts for breeder/owner/trainer Wayne Hubbard of Saint John. The mare has already established a new record this season, which was taken courtesy of a 1:57.3 triumph. John Davidson has picked up the live catch-drive aboard Pickpocketprincess this Saturday in the finale (she is the lone distaff in the field).
The other starters in Pickpocketprincess' Saturday race, in order of post position, are Bugger Max (to be driven by Mark Haig), Double D Deluxe (Don Dickinson), Fatheroftheyear (Dr. Mitchell Downey) and Paris Beau (Stephen Trites).
Exhibition Park Raceway's Saturday card, which is presented by Horse Racing New Brunswick, will get underway at 1:00 p.m.
