Meadows Announces WHHC Qualifier

On the heels of a successful contest last week, The Meadows has announced details regarding another 'Pick & Pray' handicapping contest which will take place this coming Saturday (July 27).

The Meadows and horsetourneys.com will offer the contest during the track's power-packed Saturday card that features the $500,000 (est.) final of the Delvin Miller Adios. A free berth in the 2014 World Harness Handicapping Championship (WHHC) will be at stake.

For the contest, participants must place hypothetical wagers — $2 win/place on a single horse only — on designated races on Saturday’s card. Contest races will be selected after Tuesday’s draw for Adios post positions. Picks for all races in the contest must be submitted once selections for the first race close. Free past performances will be available at TrackMaster.

The winner receives an automatic entry, valued at $1,000, in the WHHC final scheduled for April 2014 at the Meadowlands. Prize pool for the championship is projected at $100,000. While there is no charge to participate in the Pick & Pray qualifier, the field is limited to the first 800 entries.

Only one entry per household will be accepted. To register and for a complete list of contest rules, please visit the HorseTourneys website.

Also on Adios Day, the Meadows will offer three special wagers, including: a $7,500-guaranteed Pick 4 (Races 4-7); a $15,000-guaranteed Late Pick 4 (Races 9-12), and a $25,000-guaranteed Superfecta on Race 12, the final of the 'Pace for the Orchids.'
