The Breeders’ Cup has announced that L.V. Harkness & Company, a provider of fine gifts, interior design, and elegant trophies, has been named an official Marketing Partner and Luxury Gift Partner of the 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

L.V. Harkness & Company is owned by Meg Jewett-Leavitt, who also owns Walnut Hall Limited, a Standardbred breeding farm in Lexington, Ky., and is married to U.S. Trotting Association director Alan Leavitt.

The 2015 Breeders’ Cup, Thoroughbred racing’s most prestigious, two-day international event, will be held for the first time at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington on October 30-31.

As a part of the agreement, L.V. Harkness will be the presenting partner of the Breeders’ Cup Gifting Lounge, which will be on-site at Keeneland during the championships. At the Breeders’ Cup Gifting Lounge presented by L.V. Harkness, participating Breeders’ Cup horsemen, dignitaries and guests from around the world will receive their official event gifts, among those specialty items included from L.V. Harkness.

L.V. Harkness will also have the opportunity to use the official Breeders’ Cup marks to design a customized collection of gifts both domestically and internationally.

“We are very pleased that L.V. has joined with us this year as a marketing partner and presenting partner of the Breeders’ Cup Gifting Lounge,” said Craig Fravel, Breeders’ Cup President and CEO. “The style, quality and excellence of the L.V. Harkness products will provide our worldwide guests attending this year’s championships at Keeneland with a special added benefit to their overall Breeders’ Cup experience.”

"The Breeders' Cup represents the best of the best in the Thoroughbred industry. At L.V. Harkness we strive to emulate that in our world of luxury gifts, tabletop, and trophies. L.V. Harkness feels privileged to be the presenting Partner of the Breeders' Cup Gifting Lounge,” said Meg Jewett-Leavitt, owner of L.V. Harkness & Company.
