United Tote, a leading worldwide supplier of pari-mutuel totalisator operations, systems and financial services, announced today that it has entered into new, long-term agreements with the Little Brown Jug.
United Tote was originally founded in 1957 to service county racing fairs in Montana, and the addition of the Little Brown Jug continues United Tote’s commitment to traditional fair meets, regional racing circuits and national special events.
“To now operate the tote for the Little Brown Jug, an icon of US Harness Racing over the last century, really brings us full-circle,” said Vic Harrison, United Tote’s Senior Sales Director. “We are very proud that the Little Brown Jug has selected us as their future partner after 70 years with their previous tote provider.”
United Tote has already begun setting up for this year’s historic week-long meet at the Delaware, Ohio Fairgrounds that culminates with the Jugette and, the final leg of the Triple Crown of Pacing, the Little Brown Jug.
Tom Wright, President of the Little Brown Jug Society added, “We are extremely excited about upgrading our equipment and services to take us into the next century and eager to partner with United Tote for the sake of the fans; to give them an enhanced wagering experience when they come to the race track.”
“We can’t wait to begin our partnership with the Delaware County Agriculture Society and the historic Little Brown Jug,” said Nate Simon, President of United Tote. “Many of our management team began their careers in the standardbred world, are huge fans of the sport, and are bringing their passion for the tradition of the Jug to the table as we ramp up operations.”
