It has been announced that there will be a charity walk to honour the late Mike Jeannot, who passed away in January after a battle with liver cancer.
Jeannot, longtime president of Meadows Racing for the Meadows Racetrack & Casino, was a friend of the American Cancer Society and the Meadows Chaplaincy Program. During Adios Week, the Meadows and the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) will honour Jeannot’s memory with an event to support those organizations.
On Thursday, July 24, Meadows employees and family will join MSOA members and their families for the Mike Jeannot Memorial Walk for Relay For Life.
From 7 - 9 p.m., participants will walk on the Meadows track, accompanied by the sounds from a DJ. A luminaria ceremony will follow at 9:30 p.m.
Registration begins on track at 5:30 p.m., with the first 100 registered participants receiving a ‘TEAM JEANNOT’ t-shirt.
