Buffalo Raceway has cancelled live harness racing for Friday, July 17 due to poor air quality.
Racing will resume Saturday, July 18. First post 2:30 p.m.
Due to deteriorating air quality in the area and in the interest of the safety and well-being of both human and equine participants, Hollywood Casino at The Meadows has cancelled its live racing program for Friday, July 17.
Live racing will resume tomorrow, Saturday, July 18 with a first post of 12:45 p.m. The Saturday card includes several Grand Circuit stakes, including two eliminations for the Grade 1 Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids, presented by 1/ST BET.
Officials with Harrah's Philadelphia have also cancelled the live card of harness racing slated for Friday, July 17.
Harrah's Philadelphia will resume live racing on Sunday, July 19 at 12:40 p.m.
Due to the smoke from the Canadian wildfires, air quality in the Central Ohio area is at unsafe levels. Therefore, racing at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Friday, July 17 has been cancelled.
The Buckeye Stallion Series races for two-year-old filly pacers scheduled for Friday will be moved to Sept. 3 at Scioto Downs. The first leg will now be contested Thursday, July 23. The updated schedule for the five legs of the BSS is below.
Leg 1: Thursday, July 23 at Scioto Downs
Leg 2: Monday, Aug. 10 at Champaign County Fair
Leg 3: Monday, Aug. 17 at Northfield Park
Leg 4: Thursday, Sept. 3 at Scioto Downs
Leg 5: Sunday, Sept. 20 at Delaware County Fair
Racing is scheduled to resume at Scioto Downs on Saturday, July 18.
Due to the smoke from the Canadian wildfires, air quality in the Jackson County, Ohio area is approaching unsafe levels. Therefore, racing at the Jackson County Fair in Wellston, Ohio on Friday, July 17 has been cancelled.
Friday's 10-race card has been postponed to Saturday, July 18, beginning at 12 p.m. as the first half of a double header. Saturday's 11-race card will begin at its originally scheduled time of 6 p.m.
