Officials at Ocean Downs have pushed Wednesday's (July 17) races back 40 minutes in anticipation of continued extreme heat on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
First post time for the 13-race pari-mutuel program will now be 7:45 p.m.; the first of three non-wagering races — two divisions of the Tom Cooke Memorial and a Maryland Sire Stakes event for three-year-old trotting fillies — will take place at 7:05 p.m.
Horsepeople are advised that paddock arrival and Lasix administration times will be adjusted in kind to allow for the rescheduled post times.
