A number of upsets, including a 71-1 surprise by Jakey Jumpup in the fifth race, led to the Pick 5 not being hit on Saturday, July 12 at MGM Yonkers Raceway. As a result, there will be a $3,265.37 carryover in the sequence when racing resumes on Monday. The pool will be guaranteed at $10,000.
The guarantee in the Pick 5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program. Free past performances for the Pick 5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available at handicapping.ustrotting.com. The Pick 5, which begins in race five and has a $1 minimum, has a takeout rate of 20 per cent.
Yonkers is now operating on a Monday/Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday live racing schedule with post time each night at 6:45 p.m. Please note that the oval is open for a 10-race program this week on Wednesday.
