Vernon Downs will present its second annual wiener dog race this Saturday (July 13) during the track’s program of live harness racing.
A total of 30 dachshunds will be split evenly into three heats. The top three finishers from each heat will qualify for the finals.
The connections of the fastest wiener dog in the final will win a $500 wagering voucher. The connections of the second-place finisher will receive a $200 wagering voucher, while the connections of the third-place finisher will receive a $100 wagering voucher.
Vernon’s 10 live race card will start at 6:10 p.m.
