With the updated past performances booklet and supplement catalogue now posted at tattersallsredmile.com and on the Equineline app, all that’s left for the Meadowlands Summer Mixed Sale is to get the horses shipped in and the auction stand set up.
The sale will get underway in the racetrack’s paddock this coming Sunday (July 16) at noon. Sale day follows the year’s biggest night of racing at the host track, with a card that features the Meadowlands Pace and several other major stakes.
Minus the outs, there are 122 horses catalogued for this ‘horses of racing age’ sale that includes two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and older horses.
“We always say to be sure and check the updates, and here’s why,” said sale manager David Reid. “Even with a tighter entry deadline, there are more than 20 horses that have won just since we printed the catalogue, and the vast majority will be racing right up to the sale.”
Reid added that the sale is made up of mostly turn-key horses, those that can be bought and dropped right into the entry box.
“We have horses to fit every budget and every class, so anyone looking for a quality racehorse is sure to find something. It’s only July, so there’s a lot of racing left this year and a lot of money-making opportunities for a quick return on investment.”
