OSSS' Next Show Is July 17

The next installment of the Ontario Standardbred Show Series will be held on Sunday, July 17 at 9:00 a.m. at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.

The show is sponsored by Janet and Chris Zizian of Oxer Stables. This show will be held in an indoor arena so will be held rain or shine and out of the blazing sun!

The show will feature 20-plus classes showcasing the standardbred as a versatile pleasure mount with a useful life after its racing days have concluded.

Dressage, jumping, pleasure driving, western games, many english and western flat classes will be offered, as well as the fan favourite, the Costume Class.

This is the second show in the series. There will be a showcase held at Grand River Raceway in Elora on Sunday, July 31. The final show will be held in Dutton on September 11.

In order to show at any of the events, participants must have liability insurance and also must wear a helmet in required classes. Classes can be entered day of, except for dressage, which is pre-entered only.

Spectators are welcomed to stop by and support the horses and riders.

In order to qualify for year-end awards, the same horse and rider must attend three of the four shows.
