Officials with ‘Post Time with Mike and Mike’ are excited to announce the line-up for Thursday (July 11) at 10:30 a.m. The duo will be joined by Nancy Johansson, Tim Tetrick, Tony Alagna and Gabe Prewitt.
Johansson, the trainer of world champion Captain Crunch, will join to discuss the talented pacer. Captain Crunch has won four of five starts in 2019 with his only miscue being in the 2019 Pepsi North America Cup eliminations. He enters the ‘Pace’ as the 2-1 morning line favourite and will be looking to continue his winning ways.
Tetrick, the regular driver of Workin Ona Mystery, will discuss the star pacer who has been on a roll since kicking off his 2019 season. ‘Mystery’ heads into the big dance as the 5-1 third early choice and will have to deal with a tough draw towards the outside. Tetrick will be looking to secure his sixth Meadowlands Pace crown.
Alagna heads into the Meadowlands Pace with four chances, all but one of which is sired by the great Captaintreacherous. The conditioner will discuss his four pacers’ chances and how he feels the Captaintreacherous-sired two- and three-year-olds are progressing.
Prewitt, the analyst at the Meadowlands Racetrack, will join to discuss the handicapping angles that present themselves through the weekend. The pair will discuss some of the strategic wagers that will be available to bettors and what strategies gamblers can use to attack such an action-packed program.
