Officials with Kawartha Downs have announced that the track will be celebrating its 42nd anniversary on Saturday, July 19 with higher purses for the night, the Billyjojimbob Memorial Trot and a t-shirt giveaway.
The race card will include 12 races with 25 per cent higher purses than on a regular race card.
The track will also give away free t-shirts to the first 500 customers.
The $12,500 Billyjojimbob Memorial Trot will celebrate the great trotter that began his career at Kawartha and went on to become the only Canadian horse to ever win the prestigious Elitlopp in Sweden in addition to the Breeders Crown.
