Congratulations to Debi O’Brien-Moran of Carlisle, Ont., for winning the “Meet My Horse” Photo Contest in celebration of Canada’s National Horse Day.
Debi posted this photo of her four-year-old mare Siochan on the contest post on Standardbred Canada’s (SC) Facebook page, and her photo received the most ‘likes’ declaring her the winner!
SC will make a $50 donation in Debi’s name to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society, her charity of choice.

This year marked the 13th anniversary of National Horse Day, which was created to raise public awareness and promote the horse. On Saturday, June 5 contests and celebrations took place across the country to allow Canadians of all ages and experience levels to honour, discover and explore the equestrian world.
