Hanover Raceway has announced the conditions
of a new stakes series.
The Saugeen Claiming Series is back. The series is for Ontario-sired pacers which are non-winners of $75,000 in lifetime earnings as of midnight on May 1, 2009 (no allowances). Claiming price is $10,000 (plus allowances). The series will take place this August.
A $300 nomination fee is due by Wednesday, July 15. There are no starting fees. All nomination fees will be added to the final. Horses must race in the first leg to be eligible to the final.

1st leg -- claiming 10,000 -- Wed., Aug. 5, 2009 -- $10,000/division
2nd leg -- claiming 12,000 -- Wed., Aug. 12, 2009 -- $12,000/division
Final (no claiming) -- Sat., Aug 22, 2009 -- $20,000 added.
Colts and Geldings Pace
1st leg -- claiming $10,000 -- Wed., Aug. 19, 2009 -- $10,000/divison
2nd leg -- claiming $12,000 -- Wed., Aug. 26, 2009 -- $12,000/division
Final -- (no claiming) -- Sat., Sept. 5, 2009 -- $20,000 added
