Captaintreacherous, a winner of $3.1 million with a mark of 1:47.1, made an immense impact on the sport during his incredible racing career, and now the two-time US Pacer of the Year is ready to rock the industry again.

The first crop of Captaintreacherous two-year-olds has started rolling out in baby race action over the last few days at the Meadowlands Racetrack and Gaitway Farm.

The title of first Captaintreacherous son or daughter to achieve a mark in qualifying action was captured by Ron Burke trainee De Los Cielos Deo on Monday morning at Gaitway Farm.

A $140,000 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale purchase, De Los Cielos Deo charged home in :27, after having moved first-up from fourth on the final turn, to win in 1:56.4. The bay colt is the sixth foal from the Camluck mare Lisjune and is a half-brother to I Luv The Nitelife ($1.9 million, 1:48.4).

De Los Cielos Deo is owned by the prominent group of Burke Racing Stable LLC, Karr, Silva’s, Purnel, Libby and Weaver & Bruscemi.

As of June 4, 2018, a total of five Captaintreacherous two-year-olds have qualified and two-more are currently entered to debut Tuesday at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

The Captain’s Court ownership group is eager for this upcoming season and not only for their own ‘Captain’ rookies, but for the various breeders, owners and trainers of Captaintreacherous’ offspring.

A super-talented equine athlete, Captaintreacherous captured numerous classic events, including winning the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup, Hempt Memorial and Meadowlands Pace all in the span of five-weeks.

A game-changer on the track, Captaintreacherous is poised to do the same in his current career and make an immediate impact with the latest generation of pacer.

Breeders, owners, trainers, fans and racing participants can follow all of Captaintreacherous’ two-year-olds throughout the summer by following Captain’s Court on Twitter.
