Come one, come all! On Saturday, June 20, Go & Play Stable will open their doors for the public to visit their brand new facility in Ennismore, Ont.

The facility offers more space for the organization to continue rehabilitating, retraining and rehoming Standardbred horses once their racing days are over.

“We were bursting at the seams before; it was definitely time for a change.” said Sarah Waldram, founder and president of Go and Play Stable. “This new facility is a fresh page for Go and Play and we can’t wait to share it with the community.”

Doors will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 210 Kerry Line in Ennismore. Guests can expect ongoing activities such as educational demonstrations, riding demonstrations, children’s games, and a variety of vendors. Food & drinks will also be available.

For any active bidders, a live auction will also be held over the course of the day. Vendors who are interested in having a table, or anyone wanting to consign items to the live auction can contact Jessica Bailey at [email protected].

If you cannot attend the Open House but would like to tour the new Go & Play Stable facility, please e-mail [email protected] to set up an appointment.

Go and Play Stable is a registered Canadian charity, dedicated to saving the lives of Standardbred racehorses. The goal of Go and Play Stable is to promote the use of the Standardbred breed for sport and to educate the general public to acknowledge the breed as being suitable to more than just harness racing.
