Fernand Lussier of Mont St-Hilaire, Que. passed away on May 26, 2023 at the age of 85 following a long illness.
Lussier was a former trainer for Canaco Farms and Les Ecuries AD, large stables in Montreal in the 1980s and 1990s.
Mr. Fernand Lussier is survived by his wife Johanne; his children, Claude (Isabelle Houle), Élaine (Jean Gauthier), Josée (Patrick Plante); his grandchildren, Solène and Abriel Lussier, Jonathan Darsigny, Cynthia, Kathy and Daphnée Beaulieu; his four great-grandchildren; his brothers and his sister, Hubert (Diane Roy), Jacqueline (Rénald Therrien), Jean-Guy (Thérèse Adam); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mariette (Michel Brasseur), Diane (Daniel Harnois), Bertrand, Camil (Christiane Beauregard), Aline and Mario Lussier; as well as several nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
In order to respect the last wishes of Mr. Lussier, a private ceremony will take place at a later date.
