The Ontario Racing Commission has released its ruling regarding the appeal of horseman Jay Polifroni.

The situation revolves around a May 2010 incident at Sudbury Downs which led to a July 2010 ruling by the ORC. In its ruling, the commission suspended Polifroni for 45 days, fined him $1,000, and placed him on a two-year probation for violating Rules 6.20(b), 6.20(c), 22.23.03(e), 22.23.05, and 26.02.01 of the Rules of Standardbred Racing.

The initial ORC ruling also included a list of conditions to be imposed on Polifroni.

In its ruling, the ORC panel that heard the case denied the appeal and added an additional condition to be imposed on the horseman.
