It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Edmond Intine announced his passing on May 28, 2021, at the age of 76 after a long battle with lung cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Edmond, and his brother, Donald.
Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Barb; sons, Donald (Karen) and James; grandchildren, Jessie and James; much loved sister-in-law, Kitty, and her sons, Edmond (Connie) and Robert (Nikki); sister-in-law, Rhonda Brownhill, and her children, Erika and Joshua; and many more nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind his beloved sister-in-law, Carla; brother-in-law, Brian; and nephew, Lane Furlong. They made themselves available no matter what the situation and helped Joe through this painful journey.
Joe loved life, but he loved his wife, family, and horses the most. He spent 40 years in the Standardbred industry raising, training, and racing horses, but the highlight of his career was being an owner and watching Courtly Choice win the Little Brown Jug in 2018.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel in Guelph, Ont.
Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the friends and family of Joe Intine.
